You are going to be surprised how each baby is easier to birth because you have the experiences plus new knowledge with each pregnancy. It is still important to prepare. I also think it is always a good idea to prepare for a quick birth, too, like to type out a sheet of step by step instructions and keep that in a handy spot, in case you have that experience, and to prepare yourself mentally - rehearse what you would do and how you can be calm and have a good, safe birth in unexpected circumstances. Ben's birth could have been a good birth if I hadn't been so afraid. I wish I could have had someone tell me it was all okay and to help me get out of that freaked out fear-tension-pain cycle and frame of mind. And yes, God can be trusted, and He is good, especially in our need.Tana Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08309738514200351042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7042006518941024136.post-61301543734999677962010-10-28T17:17:18.819-05:002010-10-28T17:17:18.819-05:00Thank you for posting all these birth stories. I didn't realize for some reason that all the babies were early, and that the labors were all so short. My secret fear is that I'm going to have a super fast birth like Benjamin's this time.
That one was scary for all of us. I just have to trust God though. His plan is perfect.Anna E.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7042006518941024136.post-73909740993978135192010-10-26T16:59:41.821-05:002010-10-26T16:59:41.821-05:00@Mommypotamus

It still makes me upset the way hospitals intervene to the detriment of most labors and women's experiences. But, knowledge is freedom. And don't worry, I am not planning to be an every day blogger - I have too many kids for that, haha, and would love to guest post for you.Tana Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08309738514200351042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7042006518941024136.post-92020640090582879652010-10-23T20:40:46.509-05:002010-10-23T20:40:46.509-05:00Oh dear! At least I have the privilege of being your very first commenter ; - )

That's all I have to say for now. Just read part one and I'm a little traumatized just thinking about it. Heading to part 2 now.Mommypotamushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06870910967274445052noreply@blogger.com
